Thank You For Celebrating Our 10th Anniversary LDV Vision Summit With Us!

Wow! In 2024, we celebrated our 10th LDV Vision Summit Anniversary! People from over 30 countries were part of our premier global gathering in visual tech & AI.

Ten years ago, together with Dr. Serge Belongie, a professor of Computer Science at Cornell University and Cornell Tech at the time (now a professor at the University of Copenhagen and the head of the Danish Pioneer Centre for Artificial Intelligence, as well as LDV Capital Expert in Residence), we hosted the inaugural summit. This began a great tradition for top technologists, investors, and entrepreneurs in New York and from around the world to meet and discuss cutting-edge computer vision, machine learning, and AI solutions to improve the world we live in. In 2014, visual tech & AI were still considered “cute, niche and science fiction,” but not anymore. “The difference is – now the whole world is paying attention to AI,” said Prof. Serge Belongie in our most recent interview.

We were thrilled to welcome speakers from Sequoia Capital, Wellville, Generate:Biomedicines, DCVC Bio, Princeton University, Stanford University, University of California, Nobias Therapeutics, Snap, Future Ventures, Meta, Axios, Breakout Ventures, SandboxAQ, and VitVio. Two of our LDV Capital portfolio companies presented as well: Synthesia and Sonus Microsystems.

In this fireside chat with LDV’s Evan Nisselson, Roelof Botha, Managing Partner and Steward of Sequoia Capital, discussed trends and early-stage investment opportunities in businesses leveraging visual technologies and AI.

We hope our 3 fireside chats, 7 lightning keynotes & 2 panels got you inspired by the incredible opportunities for visual tech to improve business and society. You can always re/watch select sessions on our LDV YouTube channel.

A special thank you goes to all of our speakers and all of you attendees, as our summit would not exist without your collaboration!
